Bundesliga Matchday 7 review

Friday night

VfB Stuttgart v. Hamburger SV
Prediction: 1-1
Actual result: 1-2

It looks like Huub Stevens will be back in charge for a revitalized Hamburg.

Saturday

FC Schalke 04 v. SC Freiburg
Prediction: 2-0
Actual result: 4-2

Schalke have the second-most prolific attack in the league so this was not a surprise.

VfL Wolfsburg v. 1. FC Kaiserslautern
Prediction: 1-1
Actual result: 1-0

We were wrong to think that Kaiserslautern were not truly as bad as we originally thought.

Mönchengladbach v. 1. FC Nürnberg
Prediction: 2-0
Actual result: 1-0

Nobody grinds out results like Lucien Favre's men.

FSV Mainz 05 v. Borussia Dortmund
Prediction: 1-3
Actual result: 1-2

Dortmund got an amazing winner from Piszczek after an afternoon of high drama at the Coface Arena.

FC Augsburg v. Hannover 96
Prediction: 0-2
Actual result: 0-0

This result does not suit either side's aspirations, and Augsburg are quickly becoming draw specialists.

Bayern München v. Bayer Leverkusen
Prediction: 3-0
Actual result: 3-0

It wasn't too difficult to predict this, although perhaps the listlessness of Leverkusen was hard to believe.

Sunday

1. FC Köln v. 1899 Hoffenheim
Prediction: 1-2
Actual result: 2-0

Köln are looking like a completely different side from the useless one from the beginning of the year.

Werder Bremen v. Hertha BSC
Prediction: 1-1
Actual result: 2-1

An amazing match was decided by an imperious Pizarro after Hertha bravely held firm with nine men for nearly half an hour in a terrific spectacle.
