Worst Football Injury ever
We think the honor of dumbest injury belongs to Kaiserslautern striker Adam Nemec.

Novelty Soccer
Panama 2 - US 1
Really!?!? We lost to Panama in soccer? Not that the US is a powerhouse, but Panama has never been relevant in soccer. I'll give them props for some baseball stars (Mariano Rivera and Rod Carew) and boxing champions, but soccer??? The US boasts a domestic league and players that play all over Europe. We have made it to the last 6 World Cups. Yet we lost to 11 guys that play at clubs no bigger than Santos of Mexico. To be fair, one Panamanian does play in Europe - for Lech Poznan of Poland. Guess how many times Panama has made it to the World Cup?
When is Bob Bradley going to figure out how to get this team to start fast? Why are we always playing from behind? I don't want to hear about how he won his group last summer in the World Cup. That was the worst group in the entire World Cup field. Bradley needs to go if we are going to be real players on the international soccer scene. In the '90s, the excuse was soccer is just now growing in the US. Ten years later, we seem to have made little progress. Our players have made strides making it into European clubs. But where is the development of the national team? How long do we have to wait? 10 more years? 20? We need a "game-changer" manager and we need him now. Enough of this bulslhit!
Oh yeah, and Landy cakes, if you don't want to play - get the fuck out of here!

Champions League prediction
We at TBG apologize for the lack of stories on this blog, which is in a bit of a transition. Our followers should know that the finances aren't so good at this time to pay the high salary demands of top contributors like ZooterMogul, but we will do our best to cover football in the 2011-12 season for all of our loyal readers.
Moving on to the Champions League final, it's a classic rematch of the one two years ago between Barcelona and Manchester United. TBG recently took the time to study FC Barca in person at the Camp Nou and came away impressed. Barca is the best team in the history of this blog.
But seriously folks, two years ago Man Utd had the services of the great Cristiano Ronaldo. Without him, will Sir Alex Ferguson be able to come up with a game plan to thwart Barca's superior midfield? Can the Red Devils attack a back line that could be vulnerable if it is pressured? Will Eric Abidal earn a place in Pep Guardiola's starting 11?
Many observers believe that Ferguson will have his side ready for the big occasion. But we at TBG are going to go with the favorites. Barca is simply too talented and too motivated not to get the job done. One of the great teams in football history will prove itself once again.
PREDICTION: FC Barcelona 2, Manchester United 0

Miss of the season
An oldie but a goodie, as this was the lowest point of Kuba's career, although enjoyable for a laugh at the expense of the champions of Germany.

Barcelona to the Champions League Final
Of course Barcelona was going to get through today. Real Madrid would have to do what's never been done before: No one has lost 2-0 at home in the first leg and later advanced to the final. Add history to the list of things on Barcelona's side. Don't forget. . .in the first leg the referee was on Barcelona's side, as was UEFA. That makes them a lock to get to the final right? Well no. Today Barcelona called on an even higher power to assure they get through to the final. They called on Mother Nature! Pre-game, Barca players were seen squinting their eyes because the warm sun was too unbearable. So they quickly approached mother nature and demanded rain, and rain they got. But with the score 0-0 at the half, Barcelona players left the pitch and quickly surrounded mother nature again demanding more rain. The players were heard complaining how a 0-0 halftime score just was not fair. So mother nature came through with a solid downpour in the second half to assure a place in the final for the Blaugrana.
It seems that Jose, the media whore, was correct. There was no way Real was going to get through. With the referees, UEFA, statistical history, and mother nature helping Barcelona, this was a done deal. So why show up, huh, Jose? You media whore. Leave your players on their own. That's a true sign of a great coach. Way to lead the team. Way to show sportsmanship and accept defeat like a man.
Enjoy your Copa del Rey trophy. . .the one that got run over by the bus that your player dropped. Oh wait, that was Barca's fault also.
